Materials & Care

All our jewellery has been made with love by us, to be well-loved by you. By providing proper care and attention, your jewellery will maintain its shine and beauty for years to come. We have great confidence in the quality of our pieces, and we want you to know that we are always here to take care of your jewellery if needed. Below, we have provided a list of the materials we use in our jewellery, along with helpful tips for taking care of them.

925 Sterling Silver

925 Sterling Silver is an alloy made of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% copper. Fine silver is relatively soft, so silver is usually alloyed with copper to increase its hardness and strength.

Care
  • Try to avoid extreme humidity or heat as this may cause tarnishing. Your 925 sterling silver jewellery should be kept in a dark, cool, dry place.

  • Your jewellery is particularly susceptible to damage from the effects of chemicals present in perfume, hairspray, make-up, nail polish remover, body oils, sun tan lotion and deodorant.

  • Do not swim or shower while wearing your jewellery. Gold and silver are particularly susceptible to damage from chlorine and salt water, which can permanently damage or discolour them.

18K Gold Plated

Gold plated jewellery is the process by which a base metal is dipped into a bath of electroplating solution along with a lump of solid gold creating a layer over the sterling silver metal. Our gold plated jewellery is made by electroplating 18k gold onto durable silver.

Care
  • Keep gold plated jewellery away from hard surfaces. Bumps and scratches will cause the gold layer to wear away faster. Store your gold plated jewellery in our velvet pouch or wrap it in a soft material that will prevent scratches.

  • Lightly wipe your gold plated jewellery with a damp cotton cloth; this helps maintain or bring back its shine. If necessary, you can use a mild washing up liquid with warm water and a soft toothbrush, then rinse with clean water and pat dry with a soft cloth.

  • Remove your jewellery before exercising, washing your hands or showering. Always apply perfumes, creams and hair care products before wearing.

18K Gold Vermeil

Gold vermeil jewelry is the highest standard when it comes to gold plated jewellery. It is in the same family as gold plated jewellery, the difference is that it is created by a thicker layer of gold plating. We use 18k gold that is a minimum of 2.5 microns thick layered over sterling silver.

Care
  • Clean your gold vermeil jewellery carefully with a soft 100% cotton, non-abrasive and lint-free

  • Be gentle! You can scratch your jewellery while you’re cleaning it if you aren’t careful so don’t rub it too briskly. This helps maintain or bring back it’s shine.

Platinum Plated

Platinum is hypoallergenic, extremely lustrous, withstands corrosion and is highly durable. Platinum is also highly tarnish resistant and does not corrode, stain or change colour. It has a bright white sheen that makes silver even more beautiful. All of our silver colour jewellery are platinum plated on high quality sterling silver base.

Care
  • The best way to keep platinum plated sterling silver jewellery lustrous and reflective is by maintaining it carefully. For this, avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive equipment on your jewellery.

  • Clean your platinum plated jewellery carefully with mild liquid soaps, warm water and soft brushes/cloths.

Zircon Stones

Zircon is a natural, magnificent gemstone of many colors. Zircon comes closer to resembling diamond than any other natural gem. Its strong luster and intense fire gives it a real sparkle that is comparable to diamond. Natural zircon is rare and more expensive than cubic zirconia, used by many. Our zircon stones are premium quality imported from Italy.

Care
  • Your zircon stone jewellery is particularly susceptible to damage from the effects of chemicals.

  • Warm, soapy water is recommended for cleaning zircon pieces.

Freshwater Pearls

Our cultured freshwater pearls are pearls that are farmed and created using freshwater mussels. They are sensitive in nature, so don’t forget to treat them with love.

Care
  • Pearls should be the last thing you put on before going out and the first thing you take off when you come home. Clean your pearl pieces with a soft cloth to keep in great condition.

  • Avoid direct contact with chemicals found in perfume or other cosmetics. Store individually in a safe, dry place when not worn.
